How Can I Get a Gmail Verification Link for Auto-Forwarding?
Question
I want to automatically forward Gmail messages to the email address associated with my Email connection. To complete the automatic forwarding process, Google sends a verification link to the recipient's email, which I must provide.
However, I can't access emails sent to the email address associated with my connection. When should I send the link, and how can I get it?
Environment
Connector: Email
Answer
To get a verification link sent to your connection's email address, do the following:
In Fivetran, go to your Email connection page.
In the top right, pause the connection by setting the ENABLED toggle to OFF.
In Gmail, set up automatic forwarding to your connection's email address. To learn more, see Google's Automatically forward Gmail messages documentation. To find your connection's email address in Fivetran, do the following:
i. Go to your Email connection page.
ii. Select the Setup tab.
iii. In the Connection metadata & setup section, locate the Email Address field.
Contact our support team and request the verification link.
In Gmail, use the verification link to complete the forwarding setup.
In Fivetran, resume the connection by setting the ENABLED toggle to ON.
