Does Changing Azure Data Lake Storage Destinations Require a Historical Sync?
Question
If I update my connection to point to a new Azure Data Lake Storage account and manually transfer existing data, will Fivetran perform an incremental sync or a historical sync?
Environment
Destination: Azure Data Lake Storage
Answer
When you update your connection to use a new Azure Data Lake Storage account as its destination, we reset the internal sync cursor that tracks the last incremental sync position. Since the cursor can't be transferred, we must perform a historical sync to ensure the data in the new destination is accurate and complete.
