Why Are Boolean Values Different in Source and Destination?
Question
Why are boolean values different in source and destination? Values of a field have been converted from 0/1 in a source to FALSE/TRUE in Snowflake.
Environment
Destination: Snowflake
Answer
This is expected behavior with Snowflake.
Cause
In Snowflake, columns of type BOOLEAN can have TRUE/FALSE values. They can also have an unknown value, which is represented by NULL. See Snowflake's Logical Data Types documentation for details.
If the source data has the type BOOLEAN and the value 0/1, it needs to be converted to FALSE/TRUE to be loaded to Snowflake.
