Why Is the Column Name in the Destination Different From the Source?
Question
Why is the column name in the destination different from the source?
Environment
Destinations
Answer
You may observe different column names because Fivetran follows a set of standard naming conventions for schemas, tables, and columns.
For most connector types, we apply the Table and column naming rule set when we name tables and columns in the destination. However, some database connectors allow you to preserve the schema, table, and column names in the destination. To enable this, select Source naming in the Destination schema name field of the setup form while setting up your connection or before the initial sync. For more information, see our Source naming documentation.
