Why Does My Greenhouse Transformation Run More Often Than Expected?

On the Billing & Usage page, the Usage breakdown by day section reflects significantly more Greenhouse transformation model runs than expected. The number of runs doesn't align with the transformation's schedule. Why is the number of runs higher than expected?

Our Greenhouse transformation models consist of multiple smaller, intermediate models, which are modular SQL components. For more information, see our Greenhouse transformation dbt package lineage graph.

When your transformation runs, all models within it run, and we log each run separately on the Billing & Usage page. As a result, it may appear as though the transformation runs more frequently than scheduled.

To reduce the number of model runs, adjust your transformation's schedule. For more information, see our Transformation Scheduling documentation.
