We offer the following free trials:
- 14-day account trial
- 14-day connection trial
- 14-day Quickstart transformation trial

Account trial
We offer a 14-day account trial for free, so you can test our connectors, activations, and Transformations to see if they meet your business needs. The free trial begins when a connection completes its initial sync or, in some cases (for example, priority-first sync connectors), when it starts an incremental sync and the system detects incremental data. During the trial period, you can complete a historical sync, review the performance of periodic data updates, analyze your data, and try out other Fivetran features. If you are not sure about how to take advantage of your trial period, you can follow suggestions on the Fivetran dashboard. They help you start using Fivetran with the minimum number of steps.

Connection trial
Once your 14-day account trial has ended and your account is active, every connection that you use for the first time has 14 days of use at no cost. A new connection's 14-day trial begins when a connection completes its initial sync or, in some cases (for example, priority-first sync connectors), when it starts an incremental sync and the system detects incremental data. This trial automatically applies to all new connections, irrespective of the connector type. You can have multiple connection trials running simultaneously in your account.
During the 14-day trial, all data synced from a connection will not contribute to paid usage. You get one 14-day trial period per connection. Every connection that was created during your 14-day account trial stays free until the end of its 14-day connection trial, when it is converted to a paying (non-free) connection.
During the connection trial, you can receive a monthly usage estimate for your connection, and pause the connection after the trial period has ended or keep it running. Learn more in our connection trial documentation.
If you are on an annual contract signed before March 1, 2025, you won't benefit from Fivetran's enhanced re-sync detection and may experience a one-time MAR increase after a connection's trial period ends.
Renew your annual contract to enable enhanced re-sync detection.
Quickstart transformations trial
Quickstarts are our pre-built data models that run immediately after your connection syncs. Each new connection that supports Quickstart data models receives a 14-day Quickstart trial by default. At the end of the trial period, you may choose to continue using that transformation or to pause it.
Activation trial
Activations is a cloud-based product that enables you to configure managed, automated reverse ETL pipelines without writing code. Each new activation you use comes with a 14-day free trial.
