How can I enable the *_LINEAGE and *_METADATA tables?

Answer

IMPORTANT: To enable the *_LINEAGE and *_METADATA tables, you must have an Enterprise plan or higher and a user role that allows you to edit connectors. For more information, see our Role-Based Access Control documentation.

To enable the *_LINEAGE and *_METADATA tables for your connector, do the following:

1. In Fivetran, go to the Connectors page.
2. At the top of the page, a purple New metadata sharing banner appears. On the right side of the banner, click Enable beta.

If you don't see the banner, or you have previously closed it, ask another user in your organization with a sufficient user role to enable the tables or contact our support team.
