HubSpot MAR Management
NOTE: We wrote this article before we changed our pricing model on February 1, 2022. If you signed up for a new Fivetran account or renewed your existing account after January 31, 2022, you have an unlimited number of free customer-triggered re-syncs per connector each month. For more information about MAR usage, see our pricing documentation.
Use Case
You want to understand how the functioning of HubSpot connectors affects Monthly Active Rows (MAR).
Environment
Connector Overview
The HubSpot connector delivers data from both the HubSpot Marketing and Sales/CRM tables.
TIP: Click the links above to view the entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) for the HubSpot Marketing and Sales/CRM tables.
Contributing factors
There are five primary actions that contribute to MAR:
- Size of the HubSpot account source data set
- HubSpot API constraints regarding deleted data. Our HubSpot connector re-syncs several tables every day because the HubSpot API does not offer a mechanism to capture deletes. By re-syncing these tables, we can infer deletes. Learn more about the tables we infer deletes from and their update frequency in our HubSpot documentation. These re-syncs increase MAR.
- Syncing the
CONTACT_PROPERTY_HISTORY
table typically contributes to higher MAR because of its size - A full re-sync of the
COMPANY
table due to source side limitations may cause higher MAR for theCOMPANY_PROPERTY_HISTORY
table. Read Sync strategy for PROPERTY_HISTORY tables for more information. - Syncing tables that contain data that may not be useful for your analysis
Managing MAR
Before you run your initial sync, we recommend that you review the tables included in the standard HubSpot schema that Fivetran will create. You can find this schema on the Schema tab of the Fivetran dashboard. On the Schema tab, you can block any tables containing data that you do not need, which helps you control your MAR.
