Auth0 Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Auth0 to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Auth0 to Fivetran, you need an Auth0 account.
Setup instructions
Create application
- Log in to your Auth0 account.
- On the navigation menu, go to Applications and click Applications.
- Click Create Application.
- Enter a name for your application.
- Select Machine to Machine Applications application type and click Create.
- On the Settings tab, scroll down to Advanced Settings > Grant Types.
- Select Client Credentials.
- On the Credentials tab, make select the Client Secret (Basic) authentication method.
- On the APIs tab, set the Authorize toggle to ON for Auth0 Management API to authorize your application.
- In the Permissions section, select all the Read permissions and click Authorize.
Find client credentials
- Go to the Settings tab of the application you created.
- Make a note of the Domain, Client ID, and Client Secret. You will need them to configure Fivetran.
Find API audience
- On the navigation menu, go to Applications > APIs.
- Make a note of the API Audience for the Auth0 Management API (System API). You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter the Domain, Client ID, and Client Secret you found.
- Enter the API Audience you found.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Auth0 data.
