Setup guide
Follow our step-by-step Kantata setup guide to connect Kantata with your destination using Fivetran connectors.
Sync overview
To capture deleted records, Fivetran can use the Subscribed Events mechanism for the following tables:
TIME_ENTRY
ASSIGNMENT
WORKSPACE
WORKSPACE_ALLOCATION
EXPENSE
SKILL
SKILL_MEMBERSHIP
ROLE
ACCOUNT_MEMBERSHIP
ESTIMATE
ESTIMATE_SCENARIO
ESTIMATE_SCENARIO_RESOURCE
USER
WORKWEEK_MEMBERSHIP
The Subscribed Events mechanism is more efficient for tracking deleted records than table re-syncs. However, this mechanism has the following limitations:
- you must enable the Recent History add-on
- if, for some reason, the connection has not been synced for 6 days, then we are forced to re-sync tables for the first time because Subscribed Events are stored for a limited time.
To capture new records and deletes, we update the PARTICIPATION
table entries for workspaces that have changes.
