Brightpearl Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Brightpearl to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Brightpearl to Fivetran, you need:
- a Brightpearl account
- a Brightpearl-approved app
- account code (Organization name)
Setup instructions
Create app
- Log in to your Brightpearl developer account.
- Click New app.
- Enter the following fields:
- Name
- App reference
- Short description
- Long description
- (Optional) In the Country restriction drop-down, select the countries where you want to approve or restrict the app.
- In the Redirect URL field, enter
https://fivetran.com/integrations/brightpearl/oauth2/return
. - Click Save.
- Make a note of the client ID and client secret. You will need them to configure Fivetran.
Brightpearl reviews and approves the app you create. The approval process may take some time.
Find dev reference and app reference
- Go to Account.
- Make a note of the Dev Reference. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
- Go to Apps and select the app you created.
- Make a note of the App Reference. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Find data center
Find your data center in your Brightpearl account URL and make a note of it. Your data center depends on the region your endpoint is hosted in. For example:
- If the URL begins with euw1, then the region is Europe.
- If the URL begins with use1, then the region is US.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connection setup form, enter the chosen Destination schema name.
- Enter the Client ID you created.
- Enter the Client secret you created.
- Enter the Dev reference you found.
- Enter the App reference you found.
- Select the Data Center.
- Enter the Organization name that you used to create your Brightpearl account.
- Click Authorize to allow Fivetran to access your Brightpearl account using OAuth. You will be redirected to your Brightpearl account.
We recommend logging in while in Incognito mode to ensure authorization of the correct account.
- Log in to your Brightpearl account. Once you have finished, you will be redirected back to Fivetran.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Brightpearl data.
