Google Ad Manager Setup Guide
Follow our setup guide to connect Google Ad Manager to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Google Ad Manager to Fivetran, you need a Google Ad Manager account.

Find Network Code
Go to your Ad Manager network.
Find your network code in the URL when you are logged into your network. For example, in the URL
https://www.google.com/dfp/2032576#delivery
,2032576
is the network code.Make a note of your network code. You will need it to fill in your connection setup form.
Enable API Access
Fivetran accesses your data using APIs. Follow Google's instructions to ensure that API access is enabled.
Begin Fivetran configuration
In the connection setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
Click Authorize to allow Fivetran access to your Google Ad Manager account.
In the Historical Sync Time Frame drop-down menu, select how many months' worth of reporting data you'd like to include in your initial sync.
Enter the Network code that you found in Step 1.
Add report
Click + Add report.
Enter the Destination table name. The name must be unique within this connection and must comply with Fivetran's naming conventions.
Give the table a name you will find easy to identify with the report in the future. When you want to enable or disable the sync for a particular report once it is set up, you can do so by selecting or deselecting its table in the connection's Schema tab in your Fivetran dashboard.
Select Ad unit view.
Select Dimensions, Dimension Attributes, Columns, Custom fields, and Custom dimensions.
The
DATE
dimension is mandatory for reports.i. Select at least one Dimension in addition to
DATE
.ii. Select at least one Column.
iii. Select the Custom fields corresponding to their Dimensions.
The number of Custom fields you select should not exceed 15.
iv. (Optional) Select the Custom dimensions.
The Custom dimensions option is only available if you selected the
CUSTOM_DIMENSION
dimension.Click Save.
Repeat the previous five steps if you want to add another Custom report.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Google Ad Manager data.
