Google Ad Manager Setup Guide

Follow our setup guide to connect Google Ad Manager to Fivetran.

Prerequisites

To connect Google Ad Manager to Fivetran, you need a Google Ad Manager account.

Go to your Ad Manager network.
Find your network code in the URL when you are logged into your network. For example, in the URL https://www.google.com/dfp/2032576#delivery, 2032576 is the network code.
Make a note of your network code. You will need it to fill in your connector setup form.

Fivetran accesses your data using APIs. Follow Google's instructions to ensure that API access is enabled.

In the connector setup form, enter your chosen Destination schema name..
Enter your chosen Destination table name.
Click Authorize to authorize the API.
In the Historical Sync Time Frame drop-down menu, select how many months' worth of reporting data you'd like to include in your initial sync.
Enter the Network code that you found in Step 1.
Select Dimensions, Dimension Attributes, Columns, Custom fields, and Custom dimensions.
NOTE: The DATE dimension is mandatory for reports, so it is selected by default.
i. Select at least one Dimension in addition to DATE.
ii. Select at least one Column.
iii. Select the Custom fields corresponding to their Dimensions.
NOTE: The number of Custom fields you select should not exceed 15.
iv. (Optional) Select the Custom dimensions.
NOTE: The Custom fields option is only available if you selected the CUSTOM_DIMENSION dimension.
Select Ad unit view.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Google Ad Manager data.
