Google Ads Error: The Developer Doesn't Have Access to Metrics
You may encounter the following error while saving a Google Ads custom report:
Unable to validate fields. Error: The developer doesn't have access to metrics: auction_insight_search_impression_share
What causes the Developer doesn't have access error?
This issue occurs when your report includes one or more metrics that are not publicly available through the Google Ads API. To determine if a metric is available, refer to its field description in Google’s Ads API Metrics documentation. Metrics that are restricted will include a note indicating that they are not available.
For example, the auction_insight_search_impression_share metric is not publicly available.
How to resolve the Developer doesn't have access error?
To resolve this issue, you must remove the restricted metric from your custom report configuration.
