How to sync Performance Max campaigns?

To sync Performance Max campaigns, do the following:

1. Add a new custom report:

• While setting up a new connection, click + Custom report.
• For existing connections, go to the Setup tab, click Edit connection details, then click + Custom report.

2. Enter your chosen Destination table name for the custom report being added. The name must be unique within this connection and must comply with Fivetran's naming conventions.
3. Select the report name, campaign. You can find more information on the campaign resource in Google's API documentation.
4. Include the campaign.advertising_channel_type field.
5. Exclude all AdGroup fields. If you include AdGroup fields, Performance Max campaign data will not be synced. For more information, see Google's reporting documentation
6. Exclude the AdvertisingChannelSubType field. For more information, see Google's guide to creating Performance Max campaigns.
7. Click Save.

Performance Max campaigns limitations

It is not possible to view Performance Max campaigns at an ad-level. This is because custom ads are served in an automated way based on inputs from asset groups.
