HelpDesk Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect HelpDesk to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect HelpDesk to Fivetran, you need:
- a HelpDesk account
- Client ID and Client secret of your server-side app. While creating the app, make sure you do the following:
- In the Redirect URI whitelist field, enter
https://fivetran.com/integrations/helpdesk/oauth2/return
. - Provide the following access scopes:
access_rules:ro
accounts--all:ro
accounts.roles--all:ro
agents--all:ro
agents-bot--all:ro
chats--all:ro
groups--all:ro
sessions--my:ro
tags--all:ro
- In the Redirect URI whitelist field, enter
TIP: Contact HelpDesk support to create your app and client credentials.
Setup instructions
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter your HelpDesk Client ID and Client secret.
- Click Authorize to allow Fivetran access to your HelpDesk account using OAuth. You will be redirected to your HelpDesk account to authorize Fivetran's access.
IMPORTANT: We recommend logging in while in incognito mode to ensure authorization of the correct account.
- Log in to your HelpDesk account. Once you have finished, you will be redirected back to Fivetran.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your HelpDesk data.
