We unified each connector’s pre-built dbt Core*–compatible data models into a single model. It standardizes and documents the Fivetran schemas created in your destination and outputs analytics-ready tables. Previously, most connectors used distinct source and transform models.

We have upgraded our Instagram Business connector to version 22.0 of the Graph API. We are gradually rolling out this improvement to all existing connections. For more information about the changes, see Graph API's changelog.

Due to deprecations in Graph API version 22.0, we've removed the following columns from the MEDIA_INSIGHTS table:

• reel_clips_replays_count
• reel_aggregated_all_plays_count
• reel_plays

Due to deprecations in Graph API version 22.0, we've removed the following columns from the USER_INSIGHTS table:

• impressions
• impressions_7d
• impressions_28d

Starting from Graph API version 22.0, all impression columns will only be supported for media created before July 2, 2024. All media created after this date will have impression columns set to null. We will continue to support the impression metric on media created before this date.

This change applies to the following columns:

• carousel_album_impressions
• story_impressions
• video_photo_impressions

December 2024

We've removed the video_views column from the MEDIA_INSIGHTS table.

We've also removed the following columns from the USER_INSIGHTS table:

• email_contacts
• get_direction_clicks
• profile_views
• phone_call_clicks
• text_message_clicks
• website_clicks

We made these changes because these metrics are no longer available in the Instagram API.

May 2024

We have added data that represents comments on IG Media to our Instagram Business connector. For more information, see Graph API's IG Comment.

We have added a new table, MEDIA_COMMENT, with the following fields:

• created_time
• hidden
• id
• like_count
• media_id
• owner_id
• owner_username
• parent_id
• text

We have added a new field, story_swipe_forward, to the MEDIA_INSIGHTS table. The story_navigation_action_type field breaks down the navigation field in the MEDIA_INSIGHTS table into the following navigation actions:

• story_exits
• story_taps_back
• story_taps_forward
• story_swipe_forward

We have upgraded our Instagram Business connector to version 18.0 of the Graph API. We are gradually rolling out this improvement to all existing connections. For more information about the changes, see Graph API's changelog.

January 2024

We have added a new field, navigation, to the MEDIA_INSIGHTS table.

We have deprecated the following metrics in the MEDIA_INSIGHTS table:

• carousel_album_engagement
• carousel_album_impressions
• carousel_album_reach
• carousel_album_saved
• carousel_album_video_views
• story_exits
• story_taps_back
• story_taps_forward
• video_photo_engagement

However, we kept the deprecated metrics to provide backward compatibility, and we will continue to fill them with the values that replaced them. For more details, see Instagram's changelog.

We have expanded the public API endpoints Create a connection and Update a connection. Now you can authorize the Instagram Business connector by adding the auth section to payloads.
