Odoo Setup Guide Lite In Dev
Follow our setup guide to connect Odoo to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Odoo to Fivetran, you need:
- An Odoo account with Administrator permissions.
- Your Odoo hostname (e.g.
mycompany.odoo.comfor Odoo Online, or your self-hosted domain). - An Odoo API key. Odoo 16+ supports native API keys without requiring any third-party modules.
If you are unable to find your credentials, contact Odoo Support.
Setup instructions
Generate an Odoo API key
- Log in to your Odoo instance.
- Click your profile icon in the top-right corner and select Preferences.
- Go to the Account Security tab.
- Under API Keys, click New API Key.
- Enter a description (e.g.
Fivetran) and click Generate Key. - Copy and save the key. You will not be able to view it again.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connection setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter your Odoo Subdomain (e.g.
mycompany.odoo.com). - Enter your Odoo API Key.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Odoo data.
