Release Notes
July 2026
We now capture deletes for the SURVEY_RESPONSE table. We perform a re-sync of the SURVEY_RESPONSE table every week to capture the deleted records. Previously, we only incrementally synced this table to capture updates.
June 2026
We have discontinued syncing data into the CORE_CONTACT, CORE_MAILING_LIST, and CORE_SAMPLE tables since Qualtrics is deprecating its legacy Research Core Contacts endpoints. We have replaced these tables with the DIRECTORY_CONTACT, DIRECTORY_MAILING_LIST, and DIRECTORY_SAMPLE, respectively. We now sync data into these corresponding XM Directory tables.
February 2026
The Qualtrics connector now supports priority-first sync. Priority-first syncs fetch your most recent data first so that it's quickly ready for you to use. Qualtrics's priority-first syncs fetch the most recent 7 days' worth of data from the DIRECTORY_CONTACT, DISTRIBUTION, SURVEY_RESPONSE, and TICKET tables and their child tables.
To learn more, see our priority-first sync documentation.
Connections created after February 3, 2026 will have priority-first sync enabled by default. For existing connections, we are gradually rolling out this change.
November 2025
We have added the following new columns to the TICKET table:
first_time_enteredfirst_time_leftmost_recent_time_enteredmost_recent_time_left
October 2025
We unified each connector’s pre-built dbt Core–compatible data models into a single model. It standardizes and documents the Fivetran schemas created in your destination and outputs analytics-ready tables. Previously, most connectors used distinct source and transform models.
June 2025
We have made the following improvements to the QUESTION_RESPONSE table:
Added a new column,
text, to store the values that respondents enter in the text boxes associated with the Other option in Qualtrics. The new column avoids the creation of multiple records for such values. We have fixed a bug where the
question_option_keycolumn incorrectly stored the recode value of a question option. We now correctly map the recode value to the corresponding question option key before storing it.
We are gradually rolling out these changes to all existing connections.
The Qualtrics connector now supports the Hybrid Deployment model. For more information, see our setup instructions.
You can now opt to sync data of all directories or specific directories from your Qualtrics account to your destination. We have added a new mode, Directory Selection, to the connection setup form. Depending on your preference, you can select the All directories or Selected directories option. For more information, see our Directory selection documentation. We are gradually rolling out this feature to all existing connections.
July 2024
We have deprecated API key-based authentication to connect to Qualtrics. Connectors using this authentication method will still continue to work properly. However, you can re-authorize your connection in the Fivetran Setup tab to use OAuth authentication. To connect using OAuth authentication, see our Qualtrics Setup instructions documentation.
The Qualtrics connector now supports Standard and Advanced authentication methods.
June 2024
The Qualtrics connector now supports table-level re-syncs.
May 2024
We have added a new column, label, to the QUESTION_RESPONSE table. We are gradually rolling out this change to all existing connections.
The Qualtrics connector now supports OAuth 2.0 authentication. Qualtrics connections created on or after May 21, 2024, use OAuth 2.0-based authentication. For more information, see our setup instructions.
You can migrate your existing connectors from API key-based authentication to OAuth authentication. For more information, see our migration instructions.
We are gradually rolling out this feature to all existing connections.
January 2024
We have changed the composite primary key of the DISTRIBUTION_CONTACT table to ensure data integrity. The new composite primary key is a combination of the distribution_id, contact_id, and contact_lookup_id columns. Be sure to update your queries. We are gradually rolling out this changes to all existing connections.
November 2023
We have added the following new tables:
SMS_DISTRIBUTIONSMS_DISTRIBUTION_CONTACTTICKET
On your Connector Details page, go to the Schema tab and select or deselect these tables from your syncs.
We perform a full re-import of the SMS_DISTRIBUTION and SMS_DISTRIBUTION_CONTACT tables that are deselected by default.
We are gradually rolling out these changes to all existing connections.
September 2023
We have fixed a bug where we didn't accurately capture deletes for the DISTRIBUTION table.
August 2023
We have released pre-built, dbt Core-compatible data models for Qualtrics. Find the models in Fivetran's dbt hub or data models documentation. Learn more about our dbt Core integration in our Transformations for dbt Core documentation.
July 2023
We now capture updates for the DISTRIBUTION_CONTACT table by employing a hybrid sync strategy for the DISTRIBUTION_CONTACT table. We sync the DISTRIBUTION_CONTACT records for only the modified distributions.
We now capture updates and deletes by re-importing the DISTRIBUTION table in every sync. As a result, you may observe an increase in the sync time and MAR consumption.
June 2023
You can now configure the API usage limit of the Qualtrics connector using our REST API. For more information, see our Qualtrics API Configuration documentation.
April 2023
We have added a new column, last_modified_date, to the SURVEY_RESPONSE table.
March 2023
We have fixed a bug in our Qualtrics connector. Previously, we could not detect some answers for Carry Forward Choices questions and did not sync all the records to the QUESTION_RESPONSE table. To sync all records, we added a new column, question_response.question_option_key, to the QUESTION_RESPONSE table and changed the data type of the question_response.sub_question_key column from INT to STRING.
We are gradually rolling out this improvement to all existing connections. To rectify previously synced data, trigger a connector re-sync or contact our support team to re-sync the QUESTION_RESPONSE table.
We now automatically capture Carry Forward Choices data in the QUESTION_OPTION and SUB_QUESTION tables.
January 2023
We have deselected the following columns from the DISTRIBUTION table in the Schema tab:
stats_blockedstats_bouncedstats_complaintsstats_failedstats_finishedstats_openedstats_sentstats_skippedstats_started
By default, we exclude these columns from the sync. We do not recommend including them in the sync as we now support them in the DISTRIBUTION_CONTACT table. If you want to include them in your sync, go to the Schema tab and select them. Previously, these columns were selected in the table by default.
September 2022
We no longer sync the DISTRIBUTION_LINK table. This change takes effect on September 16, 2022.
July 2022
Our Qualtrics connector is now generally available. Read our Qualtrics connector documentation.
We have added a new table, SURVEY_EMBEDDED_DATA.
We have added a new column, loop_id, to the QUESTION_RESPONSE table.
We no longer sync the DISTRIBUTION_CONTACT table for non-XM users.
March 2022
We have added a new table, DISTRIBUTION_CONTACT.
