Rippling Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Rippling to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Rippling to Fivetran, you need a Rippling account with Administrator permissions and API access.
Setup instructions
Create API token
Log in to your Rippling account.
Go to Settings > Company Settings. Alternatively, you can use the direct link.
Go to the API Access tab and then click Create API Token.
Fill in the following fields:
- Name: Enter a name for your API token. You can change it later.
- Unique Identifier: Enter a unique identifier for your API token.
- API Version: Enter the API version you want to associate with your token. You can change it later.
API token version doesn't change unless the owner or administrator changes it, or the version is deprecated.
Enable the following scopes:
Parent Scope Scopes Company companies.readDepartment departments.readLeave Request leave-request.readLeave Type leave-type.readLevel levels.readTeam teams.readTimecard time-cards.readTime Entry time-entries.readUsers users.readWork Location work-locations.readWorker workers.readWorker Details compensations.readandemployment-types.readBe sure to enable the
teams.readscope to create the connection.Click Save.
Make a note of the API token. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Finish Fivetran configuration
In the connection setup form, enter your Destination schema name.
Enter the API token you created.
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected for the connection. To assign a different agent, click Replace agent, select the agent you want to use, and click Use Agent.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Rippling data.
