Why Do Some Salesforce Formula Fields Translate to null Values?

Environment: Fivetran's Salesforce connector and formula field transformations solution

You may encounter null Salesforce formula field translation values when we can't translate a formula. To determine why we couldn't translate a formula, go to the FIVETRAN_FORMULA_FAILURE_REASON table. We provide the reason in the failure_reason column and additional details about affected objects and fields in the failure_detail_1 and failure_detail_2 columns.

See the example FIVETRAN_FORMULA_FAILURE_REASON table values below:

• failure_reason = DEPENDENCY_FIELD_NOT_SYNCED
• failure_detail_1 = OpportunityLineItem
• failure_detail_2 = ListPrice

In the example above, the translation for the applicable field failed because the ListPrice field on the OpportunityLineItem object is required, but it isn't included in the connector's schema.
