Why can't I enable or edit the Include inherited columns setting in my existing ServiceNow connection to sync missing or newly added source columns?

Answer

You can only enable the Include inherited columns setting when you create a ServiceNow connection. After the connection is created, you can't edit this setting. This limitation helps prevent schema sync issues that can occur when foundational connection settings change after the initial setup.

To use the Include inherited columns setting, you must create a new ServiceNow connection:

1. Create a new ServiceNow connection.
2. During setup, set the Include inherited columns toggle to ON.
3. Complete the setup and test the sync to verify that inherited and newly added source columns appear in the destination.
4. If needed, migrate or archive data from the previous connection.
