Answer

To create a Shopify connection with an access token, use the Fivetran REST API Create a Connection endpoint and provide the token as config.api_access_token.

It's not possible to create a connection in the Fivetran dashboard using an access token. For dashboard setup steps, see our Shopify Setup Guide.
