August 2025
We have changed the sync strategy for the following tables:
GIFT_CARD_ACTIVITYREFUNDADDITIONAL_REFUND_RECIPIENTSHIFTSHIFT_BREAK
We now incrementally sync them to capture new records.
We also re-import these tables to capture updates and deletes. The re-import frequency depends on the duration of the last re-import for the table:
- If the last re-import took less than 2 hours, we re-import the table once a day.
- If the last re-import took more than 2 hours, we re-import the table once a week on Saturdays.
We are gradually rolling out these changes to all existing connections.
June 2025
We've added the disputed_payment_id column to the DISPUTE table. This column contains the Square-generated unique ID of the payment that was disputed, providing a direct foreign key reference to the PAYMENT table.
We've also added a new table, PAYMENT_PROCESSING_FEE, to sync processing fees data associated with payments. Reach out to support to re-sync the parent table, PAYMENT, to backfill for historical data.
The new table will be gradually rolled out to all customers over the next few days.

The Square connector now supports table blocking for all Square tables. You can choose which tables to sync and which to block from syncing to your destination. On your Connector Details page, go to the Schema tab and select or deselect the tables. Be sure to include a parent table for the sync, if you want to sync its child table.

April 2023
We have changed the sync strategy for the SHIFT table to improve the accuracy and reliability of its data. We now perform a historical sync to capture the 90-day-old historical records on a weekly basis. Even though this may temporarily slow down your syncs and increase your MAR consumption, this change in the sync strategy ensures that the data in the SHIFT table has no discrepancies and errors.
May 2022
We have changed the composite key of the ORDER_LINE_ITEM_MODIFIER table. The new composite key is a combination of the uid and order_line_item_id columns. Be sure to update your queries.
July 2021
We now use the id column as the primary key in the DISPUTE table. We will discontinue the dispute_id column from the DISPUTE table after October 15, 2021, to support Square's API changes. Be sure to update your queries. For more information about Disputes, see Square's documentation.

We have updated our OAuth scopes to support the Disputes endpoint of the Square API. You must re-authorize the connector. On your Connector Details page, go to the Setup tab, click Edit connection details, and then click Re-authorize connection. See Square's documentation for more information.

To support changes announced by Square, we will discontinue the TRANSACTION table in the future. All the data in the TRANSACTION table will be available in the ORDER table.
