Error: Client IP Address Is In Banned Country List

Issue

Setup tests are failing during the setup. The following error appears in the log:

The error occurred. Attempt: 1. ReturnCode: -99999. Problematic requestId: "20250331094747500C29DDB88B156595E5". Message: "Client IP address is in banned Country list."

Environment

Connector: TikTok Ads

Resolution

In your destination, change the cloud provider region in yours destination settings:

1. In your Fivetran dashboard, click Destinations.
2. Find your destination and click it.
3. In the top right corner, select Actions > Edit connection details.
4. Change the Region.
5. Click Save & Test.

Alternatively, create a new destination using a different cloud provider region for your TikTock Ads connection.

Cause

TikTok API prohibits access from certain countries in certain cloud provider regions.
