Why Are Some dma and region Values Missing From the GEOLOCATION Table?

In my Reddit Ads reports, I see METRO and REGION geolocation data. However, in my destination, those same records contain null values in the dma (alias for metro) and region columns of the GEOLOCATION table.

Why is this data missing for some records?

Fivetran syncs geolocation data exactly as Reddit returns it through the API. If Reddit returns only country-level geolocation data, the dma and region columns in the GEOLOCATION table remain empty. This may happen when you only target a campaign or ad group at the country level, even if the Reddit UI or reports display more granular location details.

If the Reddit Ads API does not return dma or region values for a targeted geolocation, we cannot populate those columns in the destination. To sync more granular geolocation data, configure the Reddit Ads campaign or ad group to explicitly target supported DMA/metro or region locations.
